Neurofit Global Retreat in June
I will be delivering a Drawing Meditations session as part of a 4 day retreat in Hakone in June.
The retreat, Cultivating Calm, Connection, and Clarity is organised by Katie Hurd of Neurofit Global. It combines coaching on self-awareness of strengths, personality, and cultural norms with relaxation breaks for stretching, connecting, and…drawing meditation.

I have two exercises planned – a warm-up to get creativity flowing, and then my favorite Drawing Meditation, Heart Map.
What is your emotional landscape? What’s in your heart? Love and despair, joy and sorrow? Learn how to put it on the page with an insightful technique that creates a map of every hill and valley of your emotional landscape. If you’ve ever looked at the map inside an epic fantasy novel, or played a role play adventure game, you’ve encountered a fanciful geography with details fitting the story. Do you remember the Pit of Despair and the Fire Swamp from The Princess Bride?
At the Neurofit retreat, participants will draw maps to highlight things that they have learned about themselves. By combining their emotions and new insights with geography they create a personal landscape. We’ll journal and discuss our maps to bring even more awareness of our inner selves.

The retreat runs from June 26-29, 2025. Registrations are open now, with an early bird discount until March 25. There will be an information session with Katie on March 17 and I’ll share those details on Facebook and Instagram. https://neurofitglobal.com/retreat-1-june-26-2025

Intuitive art in action
This is what I drew during last week's Intuitive Art class. What is it, exactly? Happiness. That's what I wrote in on the back of paper; the sankalpa of that day's practice. And with Happiness in mind I followed my own instructions to start the drawing: "First, make a...
