Nature Drawing workshop and meditation

This is a 90 minute Drawing Meditations session via Zoom. Drawing from nature is one of the most rewarding ways to enjoy both art and nature. Plants of all kinds, whether flowers, leaves, stems or branches, have infinite detail to explore.

In the first part of this class, you’ll learn how to observe a natural item that you bring to class. We’ll look at shapes and find the shadows and highlights. In the second half of class, we’ll do a guided meditation as we draw. We’ll finish the class with a short discussion about the experience.

Materials needed:
Leaf, flower, or other botanical object
Pen or pencil
Blank paper
Colored pencils (optional)
Internet connection
